'May the sun shine brightly, May the breeze be cool, May your day begin with a smile, May you go to bed with sweet memories. Have a Great Weekend........'

I'm not sure if it will be sunny but it may be dry ......

Clearly many have to use medication, but for the majority of people the above applies. Think how much money the members here are saving the NHS, a tidy sum I reckon. Whole fresh food and less or no meds makes sense to the membership here.

Re: Thought for the day.
Quote from the introduction to Malcolm Kendrick's new book 'Doctoring Data':
"The sad truth is that most of the advice we are now bombarded with varies from neutral to damaging. In some cases it can be potentially very damaging indeed. Advising people with diabetes to eat a low fat, high carbohydrate diet, for example. As a piece of harmful idiocy, this really could hardly be bettered".

Malcolm is a great guy and has been brave enough to put his head above the parapet for years. I once emailed him and asked permission to use his published work for the cause. He replied very quickly giving his permission and said "all I want is for people to live a happier and healthier life" He is not new to the low carb cause, he said this some years ago.
“The reality is that over the years, and around the world we have killed literally millions of diabetics by advising them to eat a high-carb diet and avoid fats. Only now is it being recognised that previous advice was and remains useless, dangerous and scientifically illiterate"
One day I hope all medical professionals will be like Malcolm, and at least give all diabetics the option and necessary advice on the low carb way. That's my dream, will it happen in my life time, I doubt it. But we have seen huge changes in the last five years, the tide is turning, and the waves are getting bigger by the month.
