Re: Thought for the day.
Thanks for that Paul, those stats have really made my day. I had no idea we were getting that many views ! Can we get that sort of info on our home page for all to see or is it tough to get ? If ever I get disheartened about lack of new members I'll just look at those stats at see for myself we do make a difference !

Hi Mo!
The stats above were from the LCD blog that eddie posted to show the high number of monthly readers it draws in-Sadly there's no such detailed stats in this forums software apart from how many views a thread gets but I did register the forum with Google Analytics not long ago and the detailed results are very encouraging and once a month,if you like,I can post the stats as a screenshot if you like but in the last 48 hours we have had over 4,000 views spread amongst many different visitors worldwide and the 'Bounce rate' percentage shows folks are visiting, sticking around to read and then returning for more-all in all,for a new site-we're more popular than you'd think!

Thanks Paul, yes, I think a monthly stat update would be nice. We sometimes think we're not growing or reaching other diabetics so a regular update would be encouraging I think !

It also costs nothing and is greatly received. I've never heard of Isaac Singer, but he sounds OK :-)

Hi Mo, I so agree kindness costs nothing but the rewards can be huge

“The art of conversation is the art of hearing as well as of being heard.”
― William Hazlitt,
However, we choose to converse letter, phone, forum etc the important thing is to talk, listen, exchange views.
Hope your day has gone well today - I've enjoyed the sunshine today have you?

Re: Thought for the day.
There are so many thoughts, ideas, hints that can make a day better.

Re: Thought for the day.
Two thoughts that I've recently read are:-
You can make all the excuses you want, but you're the one who decided how to live your life. -Mugen, Samurai Champloo
" In this modern time, we all try to add years to life instead of adding life to the years we have. Don't hesitate to make changes in your life in order to live life to the fullest!" Written in 2008 by Koik Boon Tatt --- Malaysia
I could say that ''I choose to live the LCHF lifestyle' ...........

Re: Thought for the day.
I thought that Joe Strummer said the following, it turns out that it was Calvin Coolidge who surprisingly also wrote 'London Calling', that aside a pretty stirring quote:
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

With it being The London Marathon today, I happened upon this quote and thought if fitted ...

Re: Thought for the day.
Blogging friend Julie wrote this on a recent post about time ...
( Find Julie's blog here http://happinessdishbestsavouredhot.blogspot.co.uk/ )
"First things first. Let's set priorities. There are only 24 hours in a day, and last time I did the math, it's impossible to do everything that needs to be done and everything one wants to do in a day. It just doesn't add up"
How often have you said ... I wish there were more hours in the day - I know I have.
All the best Jan
