I am a huge fan of meat, but only as long as I block out what meat actually is

It's very hard to not feel guilty when I look at pigs tbh

Jeez you are crazy. Animals were made so we could eat 'em. (Yeh well I'm a farmer's daughter, aren't I?)

In fact on thinking about it, I reckon vegetarianism is a higher form of human evolution

    But won't/can't be one

You really are weird. What matters is the animal's quality of life while it's alive. Now I simply don't like many meats, but I wish I did.

You mean like fox hunting? Yes I agree. Although the fox does just that. It'll kill all the hens not just the one it wants to eat. However I have always been against fox-hunting and bull fighting.

No I don't mean fox hunting

I mean murdering a senseless cow to eat a bit of its flesh, we don't need meat to survive, would it be ok to eat baby humans if they were bread for the job?

But the cow wouldn't have been alive in the first place.  They are bred for their milk and meat.  Of course it wouldn't be OK to eat baby humans.  You are just in one of your argumentative moods aren't you?

If you don't like the thought of eating dead cows then don't.  No one is forcing you to.  Meanwhile I will enjoy my burgers.....yummy.

What do you mean eating a living creature is barbaric.....we kill them first!

a cute little lamb, that is very happily bouncing around the field enjoying its life with its bouncy little lamb buddies, now we take it away from its mother, kill it by electric shock, rip its skin off it, burn it, then eat it with mince sauce? That seems like a reasonable action to anyone? No way! That's cruel and barbaric! Lions kill because they have to, to survive, foxes kill out of instinct, a fox can't survive without those instincts

Human being can live their whole lives without behaving like this, so we have to be doing it out of choice, that's the barbaric part, when we evolve further, we humans will not be able to accept we once did it imho

    Argumentative? NO!

    Lol

As much as I love my meat-there's lots that needs to change regarding how we treat animals from birth to plate and this article below disgusted me-some sick folks out there... Evil or Very Mad

Yes obviously that's wrong....for the animals and us too. It's not good to be eating meat when the animal died full of fear. Those hormones aren't good for us, that's why I don't like halal or kosher, but it's hard to be sure how the lamb has been killed.

Of course I'm against cruelty, that's why I prefer the old-fashioned way of farming.

Wasn't good to see (that's if you could watch it)

We put a lot of trust in the 'slaughter houses' perhaps there should be more inspectors / food standard officers that need to go around and inspect ..... but guess that costs money and money is limited.

It is our own choice do we eat meat, do we eat vegetables ...... what do we eat?

    All the best Jan
