Indy asked earlier whether anyone had reported the thread. I just have (specifically the cost of DIY post) with the following reason:

Is this now a personal blog or just a vehicle to keep some individual viewpoint on the front page? Either way the title should now be changed to avoid new members getting even more confused at a time when they need clarity.

Totally agree, I've nothing against the guy and I'm glad he's happy with his lot. If it's a blog, say so. That way, members will just read and view it for what it is, a sort of diary. However, what rattles me a little is that currently he is posting on an open diabetes forum where 90% of people just view and don't post. My guess is that 100's of people, maybe 1000's have read his posts, many possibly newly diagnosed. What message does it portray ? Can we eat Pot Noodles ? Pavlovas ? Chips ? To be honest, I could. I could just inject large amounts of insulin but is this the sort of thing we want newbies to be reading ? Again, good luck to OP and I'm glad he's happy. He made a great point in his original post, should have left it there.

Just to add, I tend to agree with the others who've said it's best to keep these kinds of posts out of the forum.

Have at it on your blog, Eddie, but even under the Jokes section here, it does come across as backstabbing.

I think we've realised that we've possibly upset a few members but it's so difficult not to say anything ! I'll take all your feedback on board. My last word on this matter was it was never intended to cause offence. I still can't see any personal attacks or bullying or harassment but I can see it can be deemed negative and that's not what we're about. Thanks all !

yes just read it, thank you, i had not read it before as i thought it was going to be about anorexia, a subject i no nothing about, at the risk of backstabbing...... what a prick!

I like both forums and have asked for this thread to be locked. I am LCHF. I cannot see me changing. If something works for others, fine. I wish them every success. I am utterly confused as to why this cannot work both ways. I guess this is why people got fed up and came on here and/or started this forum.

Usual troll pattern of grenade > opprobrium > victim card. I think the OP is a low carber ironically.

There seems to be a new moderator (?Osige or something) - maybe he/she is being a bit more proactive or responsive to reports.

Osidge is not a new moderator, he's been there for yonks but he only seems to put his head above the parapet infrequently.

He's not logged on very often considering he's a moderator but when he is-he sure doesn't like me and tagged me and someone else in a thread before he locked it-apparently me sticking up for Dr Bernstein on a thread is an 'Attack' and is not what "We want on the forum".

Anyone that shuts duggie up is cool with me, what about this new comedian Forge ? Looks like fight club blog material to me.

Anyway I tried to lose this thread who fired it up again, who let the dogs out.

Someone else deleted Forge's thread - Osidge hadn't been active since last night.

The whole thread has gone up in a puff of smoke so I didn't get to read it but by the sounds of it-I'm glad I didn't!

I wondered if you'd seen that.  It was pointed out to me late last night, otherwise I would have missed it.

I think Osidge ended 3 threads in a day ! You won't see him again for another 6 months now :-)
