Re: Check in and Chat - October 2014
Well having just watched the final episodes of 'The Code' I thought lets make good use of our extra hour ......my watch may say it's 23.19 but really it's only 22.19. Time for a couple of comments on the Forum

Re: Check in and Chat - October 2014
......well just before I go and make a cuppa. How about this!
Two family members had wins on the lottery / scratch cards this weekend.
Alas they did not win millions but they were small wins

Bode wrote:I thought I would start up a chat thread where anyone can check in for the day. I made it for the month, if it gets busy/long it can be changed to weekly or daily.
Feel free to post whatever you want
A few ideas - what's happening with your day, what your plans are, what you are eating, diabetes "stuff." A good rant or compliment works too.
I just think it would be nice to have a place to get to know each other a bit.
(If this is a terrible idea, feel free to let me know - my feelings won't be hurt. )
Going back to the original post .......I for one thought this a very good idea. It's received a lot of posts and reads.
Will Bode be first to start another Check in and Chat for November?
But for the moment it's Friday 31st October, we've had a gloriously sunny day, I think the temperature in parts today broke records?
But as the saying goes the weekend starts here. So whether you are just having an 'ordinary' Friday night, a 'Halloween' themed night. Have a good evening.

What amazing weather for this time of year, my fishing club match lake, a beautiful place and a place to get your head together. Andy, get your gear and let's get fishing.

10 minutes till happy time yay! looking forward to a terrible job, insulating and plaster boarding the shed roof this weekend, how i can be looking forward to that is beyond me but i can't wait lol
had a funny turn this morning, had a painful eye all night, i was dipping my face into a big bowl of cold water at 3am to try and clean out whatever was hurting it felt like id been poked in the eye, and painful enough for painkillers, my vision has been wonky all morning, having trouble focussing but its clearing up now thank god, so I'm shed ready hehe,

These help, I have one. If you do some research, you'll discover an indoor rower gives a full body workout, great aerobic with nearly zero impact. Concept 2 are the best, quite expensive but will last 20years or more and are professional standard.
I find running machines too boring and many are too noisy to even be able to watch a movie or something. I just stare at the numbers on the monitor and they go up so slow lol !
I also hate weights, never do them. Cardio is my only interest. Stair machines are good but quite pricey. We have a Watt Bike at work and I'd love one at home but about £2500 !!!

Re: Check in and Chat - October 2014
I agree with spending money on decent kit. If you fancy a decent exercise bike but can't manage the Watt Bike, have a look at these, they get good reviews and not too badly priced. You can also cycle various routes and the bike adjusts accordingly.

Still not cheap but I've had a go on one and they're pretty good.
