LOW CARB ROCKS Empty LOW CARB ROCKS

Post by RANDBURG Sat Oct 24 2015, 09:46

My HBa1C in July was 6.0 (42), and my doctor wanted to increase my Glucophage (Metformin) as I had risen from 5.5 (37) in Jan 2015.
I persuaded him to let me try and bring it down by diet before any increase.
I then went Low carb far more strictly than I normally do, and tried to limit carbs to 40 -50 gm. a day.
I worked, I got my results for my HBa1C, taken this week and im down to 5.2 (33).Last had that result in 2012.
    Thanks Low Carb

As it says at the top of the header.

Living the low carb lifestyle because nothing else works. No one has ever given me a sound and reliable alternative, full stop. 50 grams per day is optimal for most, some do better on 30. In seven and a half years I have tried every trick in the book (other than more meds) and the betus wins every time. Find what works and stick to it, it's the only way. I never get used to reading about 'meddlers' These are people that get great control, but they can't stop meddling around with their diet. There is no holy grail, no short cuts or magical answers.

Rant over, I'm trying to cut back on them. rofl a tough gig for me.

Not to Likely, in South Africa we don't have a National Health Scheme, and have to pay, or take out Medical Insurance, but in the end you bear the cost.
So im certain someone still wants my money Very Happy
