    @MrsVimes

    If my calculations are correct?

Only one more get up morning 'til half term cheers

Perhaps celebrate with a 'beef bourguignon'  Smile

A reminder that this weekend in the UK we put our clocks back an hour

When do the clocks go back? A countdown to GMT and Daylight Saving Time ending - October 2015
British Summer time (BST) is nearly over and Britons are looking forward to lighter mornings and an extra hour in bed when the clocks go back

    Have a Chat - October - Page 2 Big_ben_and_a_watc_3481485b

The time changes this weekend, on October 25 at 2:00 am which means you'll have an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning.
To remember which way to set your watch, there's a useful (albeit slightly American) mnemonic: “spring forward, fall back”.

    Have a good time!

After a terminally dull day the sun broke through just before it set and there was a spectacular autumnal sunset, punctuated by flocks of rooks flying north to their roost and about a dozen golden plover wheeling across the sky and dipping towards the ground before flying up and around again, until they suddenly plunged into the field.

Looks like a fine sunny night.

    What a super time we've had ...

In fact 'Super' has been the operative word!
Playing games as 'Super Girl'  'Super Boy'  'Super Grandma'  and 'Super Grandad' ...

The weather was a little mixed, in fact at times quite damp ... but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits.

... anyway late dinner tonight chicken wrapped in bacon with  some low carb vegetables - so I'm off to the kitchen Smile

Pumpkins and Spooky Fun : Happy Halloween !

As two of the grandchildren start preparations - I just couldn't resist posting these two mobile phone pictures ...

The top one was taken at a 'Pumpkin Scoop' and the bottom one shows the 'vampire' and 'witch' getting in party spooky mood ... well why not.

Whatever you are doing today (and I know not everyone welcomes Halloween) please enjoy your Saturday.

Had a lovely week this week. Caught up with house stuff and school work.
It's amazing being able to get a cuppa any time of day (and go the loo when you want instead of by the bell).
Get bommy night over with and its Christmas carols for the next 6 weeks!

They have a great tradition here, the Trick Or Treaters know only to go to houses with a pumpkin on the porch. Thus the old folks don't get annoyed but the kids still get to have fun.

I was shopping yesterday in Cambridge and were not too far from Boots. My wife told me that Boots do a meal deal on a Mon via your o2 mobile phone ( priority moments or some such app ). Anyway, I downloaded it and thought we'd give it a go. What I didn't know was that once you accept offer, a timer appears on your phone. You literally have 5mins to complete purchase. We RAN to Boots and frantically tried to choose our luck. I actually was beginning to perspire. I ended up with a wholemeal cheese & fig sandwich with 27secs left ! Cheese & fig ???? It was bloody awful !

The same muppets that come up with the colossal amount of bollocks we see in all the mainstream media re health and diet. Just imagine hundreds of thousands of people all around the world being paid to spout the blindingly obvious these days. Top of the list dietitians. Just look at the middle of the road garbage from the Coca Cola and junk food shill Susan Jebb the other day.

Professor Susan Jebb, of Oxford University another dietitian on the payroll !
