Another "Miracle Cure" ??
Saw this in the news today regarding potential treatment for T2 diabetes from a dodgy chemical used during The War ? Apparently it speeds up metabolism greatly causing weight loss and reduction in T2 diabetes. One guy in the 30's overdosed and literally "cooked himself" to death ! All seems a bit extreme to me. What do you think :

You can't beat bacon - either on it's own or pairing it up with any of these......eggs, sausages, liver, mushrooms.
What would be your favourite ? I just may go for liver, bacon and a few onions in a rich gravy tasty
All the best Jan

Re: Another "Miracle Cure" ??
Apart from with brekkie-I love bacon wrapped round good quality chipolatas aka Pig in blankets which apart from roast dinners I also love to make a batch up as snack food and I do love chicken breasts roasted and wrapped in streaky bacon. On the subject of bacon,my favourite is smoked streaky as it tastes better to me and crisps up dead nice, just like I like it and it's easy to dip into egg yolks.

Sounds tasty - and I like your idea to make up a batch of 'pigs in blanket' for a snack.
Does anyone have any other low carb snack ideas?
All the best Jan

Andy, you're a tart. Seriously, I am the same, half raw meat dripping in slimy fat is not for me. I reckon I will eat almost anything cooked properly, low carb of course.

What are you after, sympathy? They are all the rage because it's a cheap way of feeding your wedding guests whatever. When I want raw meat, I'll eat a low carb antis liver with some Fava beans and a nice Chianti,

I'll take the Chianti too lol ! As for cheap, they average about £1K surprisingly ! They take about 6 hrs to cook and you pay for 2 staff usually.
