    It's snowing affraid

Well I guess it is winter lol!

Have you been to a Pantomime recently, I just love them, and I guess I've got a good excuse the grandchildren love them too......... isn't it great when the "he's behind you line" is used the noise from the younger audience is deafening ....... and then of course you get the "oh no it isn't"  "oh yes it is" line.

Now am I a big kid at heart Question

Enjoy your Saturday whatever you will be doing

Low carbing even mentioned on "The Now Show" on R4 last night. In a line referring to Cameron calling Miliband 'chicken on the Greens' Hugh Dennis said that was also a decent low-carb meal! cheers

Coronation Street's Deirdre .... actress Anne Kirkbride  RIP

I'm not a huge 'soap' follower but I know many will be saddened to hear of this actress' death.

    RIP Anne

    .............................

I think it also coincides with a big story line in this weeks 'Corrie'.......

'But Baby It's Cold Outside' - annoying for Eddie but this song has been on my mind this morning. Can't think why? Could it be as I looked out of the window first thing I saw was FROST  Exclamation Started me off singing, well I call it singing he doesn't lol!

Perhaps later this afternoon the song in my head will be something different. Do you have some days like this when a song 'pops' into your mind.

    Happy Burns Night! Very Happy

I don't eat tubers, root veg, innards or oats and can't drink on a school night, so Burns Night is a bit of a damp squib these days.  Here is a poem from the Bard instead.

The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
    Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
    For promis'd joy!

Not too bad, there's always chicken and eggs available, usually pork as well, sometimes fish. Veg not as plentiful as last time I was here in July. Worst was on the flight out when Air France only had one lunch option - pasta (je suis tres desole m'sieur, mais ...) - so I was a bit hungry by the time I got to the hotel and had some french bread (with lots of butter) before my fish arrived. But I've just had a record low fasting of 4.8 this morning so smaller portions and lack of any processed food are probably helping there Laughing I have a supply of brazil nuts for emergencies so I won't starve.

    4.8 good figure  Smile
Good idea to to have a small supply of nuts to hand - my favourite are macadamia's.

Interesting your comment about Air France food - do other low carbers experience problems with a choice of LCHF foods being available on air flights I wonder ?

Airline food has been discussed 'over there'. Consensus seemed to be that the worst you can do is ask for a diabetic meal, then you just get the Eatwell Plate. I just pick the least worst option and leave the carbs alone. Just this time there should have been a chicken option as well.

Awwww Jan. My washing machine is unplugged and sitting looking forlorn in the middle of the kitchen because I'm finally getting around to having the utility room floor fixed.

I hope Eddie beats your washing machine into submission soon Smile

Washing Machines are one thing BUT Earthquakes / Tremors here in the UK are they rare?

Having family members living in Hampshire, the phone lines / text messages were busy tonight when the news that an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 has been recorded in Hampshire, the British Geological Survey has confirmed. It happened near Winchester, if you'd like to read more here is the link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-31009707

Paris CDG has to be the worst airport in the world for lack of places to eat, especially early in the morning. Last night in Abidjan I had a very nice chicken kebab and salad with a half bottle of Cote du Rhone, here there is nothing but coffee and pastries. So I'll have to wait until I get to Paddington in a few hours before I can get something decent to eat. Now where did I put those nuts ...
