I am going to kick off the weekend with a tribute to my beloved 12 year old VW Polo which was sadly condemned by the mechanic this week

Sorry to hear about your car, that's too bad. We do sometimes get attached to our cars ....I can remember when I used to name mine
Did anyone else do this?
Sorry haven't posted a decent tune, have a flower instead !

Thanks Jan bWe didn't actually name this one, but it has been a reliable little workhorse so we will be sad to see it go. We have a replacement lined up, but will have to live on dandelions to afford it lol

Dandelion Wine can be quite nice !
I know what you mean it's not only getting the car it's petrol, insurance, road tax, plus other costs too. But I don't like being without a car. Now one of my sons cycles everywhere or uses public transport - it can be done.

Re: Some decent tunes !
The insurance is the killer. I have my 19 year old daughter named on my insurance My sister has never driven an inch in my car, but the insurance is about 100 quid cheaper by having her as a named driver hehe. Go figure.
Back to the tunes. Who is next?

Yep Paul, I love your taste in music, that's another great track which I am going to have to listen to right now. I was meant to be asleep already.

Re: Some decent tunes !
Saw this guy being interviewed on Breakfast TV this morning. Seemed like a nice guy, talking about the loss of his father and dementia. Great tune though.

Re: Some decent tunes !
Great news about Wilko Johnson, let's hope it isn't a false dawn. I like to think that his passive acceptance of the condition, rather than stressing his body fighting it, and positive outlook on what he thought remained of his life helped.
On the other hand the great Jack Bruce died yesterday. He was the real talent behind Cream, Clapton was just the front man and hasn't really done much better musically since. With Bruce, I guess the periods of heroin abuse finally took their toll. 'I Feel Free' would be an easy choice to show his expertise as a singer and composer, but I've gone for this one.
RIP Jack.
