    Are you watching the Athletics?
Lovely to see the 'Olympic Park' full with so many spectators - not too sure how much the tickets cost but I suspect not cheap!

The UK started well with Mo Farah getting gold, and the two Laura's are through to the 1500m semi's later tonight.
Wasn't it great to see the UK's Reece Prescod in the 100m final too Smile

Yes, of course all eyes and cheers were on the legend that is Usain Bolt, unfortunately it wasn't a fairy tale ending to the great man's 100m career, he didn't get gold but did get a bronze.

Sad about Bolt but he was getting on a bit comparatively I suppose. Sad also about Katerina Johnson-Thompson who looked to be on the way to becoming a worthy successor to Jessica Ennis. Well she's still young so likely to come back on a better day.

With all the rain in the London area yesterday the athletes were getting very wet! Not sure if I'd have liked to have been in the audience ...terrible summer weather.

Of course as well as the running, jumping etc. the outbreak of the Norovirus affecting some of the athletes has also been in the news - not good.

Pleased to see Mo Farah is on track for a second gold ... although nothing is certain until the event finishes.

Some good track events tonight, as we say farewell to Usain Bolt and Mo Farrah.
The Brits may hopefully win medals in the relays later this evening - we shall see.

It was beginning to look like we were snatching defeat from the jaws of victory for a while
