One point worth noting, anyone and I mean anyone can vote, even me. I just voted for my five. Pity Bonkers and Duggie not on the list.

I'm surprised DCUK were not asking for personal details before allowing a vote

Jeez they could not run a whelk stall. Good thing the flog does not have lot's of private and confidential information on the members. Hang on a minute, they do, and flog it to the highest bidders. affraid

Come to think of it the cherub and nobblyhead were made mods without any election, in fact they just appeared as mods with no announcement from admin

When was the flog ever straight with the members? it's an information gathering exercise for profit, it's coincidental that over the years the MEMBERS have helped many people including us. As for Noblyhead who would ever vote for that reprobate other than Sid and Duggie boy.

I never EVER used any other forum with so many mods, or such trigger happy ones. That includes the ADA Forum where almost no-one was ever banned and only spam was deleted. Actually the only one I recall being banned was a high carber.

"Come to think of it the cherub and nobblyhead were made mods without any election, in fact they just appeared as mods with no announcement from admin"

Clearly coming the old "Every 2 years, we elect new moderators to help moderate the community" was a ruse to dump the current mods without causing a bun fight on the open forum, as is usually the case. The few longtermers left kept quiet because the Cherub and Noblyhead were never popular, the newer members are clueless to the way the flog operates. Let's face it the Cherub and Noblyhead were always staunch anti low carbers. Now the owners realise low carb is going mainstream (even in Prisons) the deadwood needed to be dumped.

One thing is very obvious, for the so called "largest diabetes forum in the world" the members interest in new mods, old mods and the election has been pitifully small.

As an aside, I see the Diet Doctor site now has 30,000 paying members, paying around $10 US per month each for the privilege. How he with the shinny white teeth would love to be in that position eh. The flog was in a position years ago to have been a runaway success, especially on the business front, but they blew it big time. The truth is less than 1% of the members regularly post, and most of the total number of members so often quoted, walked a long time ago. One of the first rules of business is treat your customers with respect and honesty, the flog has treated members like cannon fodder and has reaped what they sowed.

With the absence of the present mod team apart from azure on the list maybe it will be a complete clear out and a fresh set of mods, could also explain why the cherub flounced off probably in the knowledge her chance of being re-elected was slim to say the least

The forum of flog election process continues, and never has a thread been more heavily bumped. "We are all doing a lot of bumping today" and "My turn - *bump*" and "Another bump bites the dust!"

It is abundantly clear, the members have next to zero interest in who become the next mod, probably because they know, it will be a case of meet the new boss same as the old boss. I suspect the management don't give a monkeys who mods the joint, as long as the mods put in countless hours of work for zero pay. Long gone are the days, when the flog had some really knowledgeable and open handed people running the place.

Just had a flick through the embarrassing thread of "bumps" ! With a supposed nearly 240,000 members it doesn't appear the vast majority give "two shites" who gets the new mod jobs.

Eight years of very clever at times, negative propaganda from a high carb high meds low carb anti. The bright members saw through her from the start, now the flog has become the number one low carb forum (allegedly) it must be a real downer for her. What motivated her we will never know, not many left of the old anti clique.

Nah, we don't hate anyone, hate the sin not the sinner. Meanwhile...................

In the White House President Trump paces the carpet, in the Kremlin Putin is downing his second bottle of vodka. The UK Prime Minister May has called an urgent meeting of Cobra, all wait with baited breath, who will be the forum of flogs new mods?

Meanwhile in Coventry the world's media are out in force. An unnamed source stated “this is the most exciting event to take place at the flog since the infamous Kenny boy blew a gasket” Forum admin Capt. Ward refused to comment on the rumour the forum owner was getting his magnificent teeth re-whitened and polished for the new mod unveiling ceremony. In the meantime, GCHQ have confirmed the first voting thread was hacked by the Russians, allowing banned flog members to vote in the elections. affraid
