but I'm with Paul on this I would have loved to have been able to vote for Sid and Duggie
I'm surprised DCUK were not asking for personal details before allowing a vote
"We'll restart the vote tomorrow on the forum - seems to be a few issues created by narrowing it down to 1 response per user! Will restart the voting process tomorrow!" Admin
Jeez they could not run a whelk stall. Good thing the flog does not have lot's of private and confidential information on the members. Hang on a minute, they do, and flog it to the highest bidders.
Bugger that means our votes will be discarded
Come to think of it the cherub and nobblyhead were made mods without any election, in fact they just appeared as mods with no announcement from admin

Clearly coming the old "Every 2 years, we elect new moderators to help moderate the community" was a ruse to dump the current mods without causing a bun fight on the open forum, as is usually the case. The few longtermers left kept quiet because the Cherub and Noblyhead were never popular, the newer members are clueless to the way the flog operates. Let's face it the Cherub and Noblyhead were always staunch anti low carbers. Now the owners realise low carb is going mainstream (even in Prisons) the deadwood needed to be dumped.
One thing is very obvious, for the so called "largest diabetes forum in the world" the members interest in new mods, old mods and the election has been pitifully small.
As an aside, I see the Diet Doctor site now has 30,000 paying members, paying around $10 US per month each for the privilege. How he with the shinny white teeth would love to be in that position eh. The flog was in a position years ago to have been a runaway success, especially on the business front, but they blew it big time. The truth is less than 1% of the members regularly post, and most of the total number of members so often quoted, walked a long time ago. One of the first rules of business is treat your customers with respect and honesty, the flog has treated members like cannon fodder and has reaped what they sowed.
