No, even I'm not that cynical. It was a tragedy that a baby died of medical incompetence. Probably a few other babies and a lot of other people also died of medical incompetence the same day but didn't make the news headlines.
More to the point though, the number of people who died of medical COMPETENCE must be an order of magnitude higher. Not just premature deaths but suffering, all caused by low fat diets and the drugs prescribed as antidotes to the diets . . .
