reasons not to take statins please

Yes I have had catheters passed through the veins in my groin up to my heart and a camera passed down my throat into my heart too. An amazing procedure called ablation which took 6 hours and a 1 night stay in hospital (should've been 2, but I was kicked out early as there weren't any beds).

Since then I have gone from only being able to walk a few yards to walking 14 miles in a day.

@eddie1 @Zand What wonderful transformations! The NHS does some marvellous things! Well the frontline consultants,Dr's,Nurses,porters,paramedics etc do and NOT the penpushers.

Let me know how your heart tests go Paul, I have almost perfected a do it yourself catheter and stent kit. The big question, "have you got the minerals" to try it out? Do you remember who first said that? LOL

Yes @Paul they do indeed do some marvellous things.  I was fortunate that my surgeon was trying out a new type of catheter and was brave enough to keep going until he had finished the job (I had expected the procedure to last 2 hours and then to have to go back maybe 3 more times).  They were a little concerned about me that night because they had done so very much work on me, and they wouldn't let me have painkillers in case they masked a problem.  It was well worth it!

"the ediot" err.........that be me Jim Lad. For all Sid's bounce, he only came over once to take me on, on a level playing field, he lost. He liked bullying people but went berzo when he got a taste of his own medicine. All a good laugh really, until you consider the countless knowledgeable and helpful people that got railroaded off and banned from the flog.

What strange things fate and destiny are, the betus, it's a funny old game to be sure. Who would have thought trying to tell people to eat whole fresh food and minimise their chances of bad health, and try to be independent of meds, would cause so much trouble. Those bloody doughnuts have a lot to answer for.
