The voice of doom thread

Britain can become world’s richest major economy, says George Osborne.

The question I am asking myself, is Osborne the worlds most deluded man. He keeps telling us the Tories  policy's on the economy are working, this from a man who has taken the UK's sovereign debt from £700 billion pounds to close to 1.5 £trillion in four and a half years. He tells us far more have jobs, but millions are on a zero hours contract (not my idea of a job) and millions of workers subsidised by tax credits from tax payers.

Meanwhile his boss the thick as a plank Cameroon, is petrified of a debate on TV. I can understand why, I doubt he could tell us his name and address without a cue card. The other day this muppet said "Voting Labour would put the younger generation in debt" this from a man that put University fees up to 10k a year.

What are our options though Eddie ? I can't think of a single MP/party I fully support. Perhaps you ought to become an MP ;-)

Statistically, the most dangerous part of the job is not fire, heat, smoke, falls etc, it's actually getting to the scene on blue lights. The drive is where most injuries occur. Sadly, some drivers get the "red mist" when driving on blues and drive like absolute maniacs to put out a bin fire for example ! Crazy ! I soon tell 'em to wind their necks in lol !

Get rid of the House of Lords and half the MP's. Cut off foreign aid, we are giving money to countries that use the money to send people here to kill us, or end up in Swiss Bank accounts of the corrupt. Pull out of the corrupt to the core EU. Put a very tight grip on the Banks, make multi billion pound company's pay tax in the country the business and profit is generated. Place a massive tax on homes over £5 million. Stop conning millions of young people into going to Uni and set up apprenticeship schemes for the trades people need from hairdressers to plumbers and electricians.

Most of all, this country can and must stand on it's own feet, we were once the "Work Shop Of The World" We have the brains in the UK and we have the workers, the Lions are being led by donkeys.

Strangely I agree with most of what you said there Eddie, I say strangely because I am a conservative voter, not because I like what they say or do but because I like what the others say and do less

The thing I didn't agree with was the 5 million pound house tax, someone who works their ass off their whole life, makes it big, then has to pay even more to the government to give to the lazy? Far as I'm concerned if you are smart enough to buy a 5 million pound house then you shouldn't be penalised for it, and if I was that smart, the unreasonable tax would be a reason to use my brain to avoid the tax somehow

This I am ready to be corrected on as I know very little about it, my knowledge of politics is watching question time occasionally

Exactly, so, what are our options ? Me voting will not change any of that.
