I am off warfarin BTW and on Rivaroxaban now. No issues
with food and it should not cause calcification like warfarin
and statins. Seems to be tied up with vit k antagonists?

I doubt it Derek it's not really suitable for a bread maker.

Thanks Graham, I made some this am by recipe method

    Hi Jan,
Had a slice at lunch time today with butter and plenty of lettuce, plus two rashers of bacon plus some blueberries and raspberries and I peaked at 6.2 which is good for me. I think it has less available carb than half a Lidl high protein roll.

    Many thanks

Sounds a most delicious lunch. Smile

Don't know anything about the Lidl high protein rolls BUT in Waitrose recently, I did buy some of the 'LivLife' half the carbs - seriously seeded 500g loaf.
I think it's about £1-59 per loaf, so isn't cheap. The carbs are 14.6g per 100g and per slice it works out at 3.8g. It can be quite handy to keep some in the freezer!

I believe that some Morrison stores also stock this loaf.

    Hi Jan,
The Lidl high protein rolls are 29p and have c.11grams of carbs.
One can put my b.g.just above 8 so I cut them in half. They freeze OK. They are dark brown and triangular in basic shape.

Eddie wrote:We get ours in Waitrose around £2 a bag marked as Golden Linseed 500 gram bag.  I expect many places sell these. A point to remember, it's best to buy the un-ground seeds and grind in a coffee grinder when you require seeds for use. This is a much cheaper way to buy flax seeds also once seeds are ground they can go rancid very quickly.

Ooooh 'eck! Now I have to buy a coffee grinder!
Amazon I guess, as I can't drive at the moment!

    Thanks for the recipe Eddie.

I use a spice grinder, same principle. Not Geri Halliwell though. Also I prefer the black seeds for no apparent reason.
