Will be interested to see where this goes....

    http://www.totalityofbeing.com/FramelessPages/Articles/TreatingDiabetes.htm

Also, I came across a guy called Dr. kenneth Pullman who claims to have found the cure for Diabetes.

I cannot find any other authentic information about him or his 'Diabetes Protocol' so cannot decide whether this is a scam or not, but the info was only posted in September so maybe its just to early yet. But I did listen to his very lengthy spiel.

Whilst there is the possibility of it being some kind of scam (or just overpowered by a plethora of 'scam' accusations from BP, there are one or two interesting points he makes that make sense.

He questioned the 'dawn phenomenon', and came to the conclusion that it is cells that are not actually affected by insulin that are raising the sugar levels. These cells are found in the kidneys and the liver.

He and his 'research' team discovered that certain enzymes and amino acids and vitamins/minerals could turn those sugar-producing cells off. He then devised a diet protocol containing certain foods with those properties to do that. Apparently, within 3 weeks he had cured his diabetes, and has had similar results with thousands of others.

You will not find any credentials for this man. I am wondering whether this is not so much a scam, but a way to avoid the wrath of BP. Who knows? But it got me doing research on enzyme links with Diabetes....

    Hi Ali

Over the years I have got sick to death of people claiming all sorts of cures and potions for curing this or that. I do not believe there is a cure for any type of diabetes. However, as so many on this forum know, it can be tamed. The chief symptom of type two diabetes highly elevated BG levels can be reversed. Not only do we see many so called experts claiming all sorts of bunkum, we also see many forum members in other places spouting total hogwash. Their motives range from seeking enjoyment from misleading others to wanting to make money.

This item from Doctor Mercola is a great post and says pretty much what we need to know about controlling the betus. This is a great article and free of charge, no one should pay money for information that has been around for free for decades.

    More here http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/09/07/the-risks-of-treating-diabetes-with-drugs-are-far-worse-than-the-disease.aspx

    A few quotes.

"For the last 50 years or so, Americans have followed the dietary recommendations of a high complex carbohydrate, low saturated fat diet—the exact opposite of what actually works for preventing and reversing diabetes! High complex carbohydrates include legumes, potatoes, corn, rice and grain products. Aside from legumes, you actually want to AVOID all the rest to prevent insulin resistance."

"This is why many type 2 diabetics become worse by following current medical recommendations and treatment. If your physician has not talked to you about the importance of limiting sugars, fructose and grains, and only wants to give you drugs, your diabetes will get worse, not better."

"Please don't let anyone tell you that type 2 diabetes has no cure, as this is not true. Type 2 diabetes is not terminal; you don't have to live with it forever! Nearly 100 percent of type  2 diabetics can be successfully treated -- eliminating the symptoms of diabetes, or the high risk of developing health complications -- if you are willing to implement the lifestyle changes discussed below. These same changes will also drastically reduce your risk of the disease, so you can avoid developing it in the first place."

    Regards Eddie

    Edited to add link.

I fully understand where you are coming from, however, unless one is born with a disability of some kind I do feel it must be possible for something that has developed over time to be undeveloped over time.

I'm not talking about anyone going back to eating the standard Western diet but it has to be possible somehow for people to be able to eat at least natural whole carbohydrate-based foods without their blood sugar going into freefall.

Whether there is a cure out there I haven't a clue, but you can bet your bottom dollar it won't be BP that will be publicisng it.....

I read on Curezone the experience of one woman who got rid of liver/pancreas flukes and her diabetes went away. I would still not be surprised to learn there is a parasite/bacteria link somehow. They are very capable of turning enzymes on and off by producing counter elements, so I wouldn't put it past them to be able to trigger sugar metabolism issues for their own ends.
