Re: You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up
Good god!! So either the ad creators were so THICK that they couldn't see the awful irony in that advert OR they could and were genuinely taking the piss!! A bit of both perhaps! I liked the Bacon art work a lot and I once knew a low carb legend who would have just LOVED that hanging in his gaff!! The mighty Borofergie!

Re: You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up
There was a line in a comedy programme the other night where these two women were baking cakes and sprinkling them with sugar before taking them to their diabetic friend. THAT was meant to be funny.
What the hell happened to Borofergie?

He is doing very well, still running, we are facehook friends. We don't talk much I am not a lover of facehook, but it helps to keep in touch with the kids.

Probably the latter-I think most of the people over there who helped me originally have all walked.

Re: You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up
BTDT originally I learned most of what I learned on usenet but the constant trolling drove most people away.
No bad thing since it led to several blogs, like
Alan's
Jenny's
Of course this place and the blog may not have existed were it not for the constant efforts of the low carb antis on DCUK, I suppose we should thank them

He does appear regularly on the "Members Online Now" section but never post's, that's probably why he's not banned

He was banned at one time (temporarily) that's why he and others formed the ETYM Forum. The list of low carbers banned is longer than the low carbers not banned I reckon.
