To a dietician, "evidence" = "research that agrees with what I already decided to believe". All the rest is nutribabble.

Of course the elephant in the room is OUTCOMES. Now the majority of the population is either obese, diabetic/prediabetic or has other metabolic diseases while over 50% of dieticians do not consider carb reduction for diabetics, I think EPIC FAIL is the only possible description.

Soon the last of us old farts that remembers a time before these "epidemics" will be dead, then they think they will be home free - except for the outcomes from people who are NOT dieticians.

Agreed the BDA give the green light to vegetarian diets

Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for all stages of life and have many benefits. These guidelines will help you enjoy all the health benefits and ensure you’re eating a nutritious and complete diet

Vegan too. Although a few babies have died from them, and also cats. Yet low carb is dangerous, and even not eating wheat/gluten is really dangerous unless you are actually diagnosed coeliac.

Don't forget, NEVER give up an entire food group, unless it is meat, or eggs.

There is only one way, to give ourselves a chance of a healthy and active life, eat real food, and get off our butts with some modest exercise. As for the average dietitian, they are no more than junk food shills. That being said, there are some stunningly good dietitians out there, this is one of them Franziska Spritzler http://www.lowcarbdietitian.com/

You just couldn't make this up.

Nothing wrong with a vegan diet, I eat one along with my meat.

The good thing is that despite a major campaign of trolling and personal attacks from dieticians and vegans, the number of clueful dieticians and doctors is steadily rising.
