"Dr Richard Elliot, Diabetes UK’s research communications manager, said: “This study adds to research which suggests that different sources of fat in the diet affect the risk of Type 2 diabetes in different ways.

“This does not mean that adding high-fat dairy products to your diet will help to protect against Type 2 diabetes."

You can always trust those drug dealers and big pharma shills DUK to put the boot in ! Now you diabetics, scoff them carbs and take those meds like good girls and boys, we want to keep our cushy jobs and our paymasters want you to keep away from low carb high fat. The pay masters.

Thanks for that Andy. Now I'm waiting for some 'heart expert' to say "Yes but.......you still shouldn't eat dairy because......"

PS I love the way The Express have done a typo and called it a 'diary diet'.....getting to be like the Grauniad I reckon

Check out Medscape on the same article: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/831789

Also Franziska Spritzler  posted a link to another new Canadian study on the same theme:

More cheese, please! News study shows dairy is good for your metabolic health

    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/09/140916092737.htm

There have many other studies coming to the same conclusions over the past few years but the anti fat brigade still promote low fat.

Franziska Spritzler if only all dietitians were like her, it would save countless people suffering and save £billions to our NHS over the years.

Interestingly, dairy can apparently be 'insulinotrophic'.

    .....or maybe its insulinogenic....

    Whatever.....

Apparently, dairy can raise blood sugar in some people.....
