Hello. AliB here. Mrs conflicting opinion personified.

To those that know me, high five.

For those that don't, I've been around diabetic forums for several years but have withdrawn latterly.

My views may seem controversial at times, but I have no wish to trigger conflict, only thought and debate. I will not continue in a hostile environment.....  Neutral

It is interesting how views are changing though. What was viewed as controversial is now becoming more accepted, and even welcomed in some circles.

Hub and I went gluten free before it was 'fashionable', as we realised that whether we were Celiac or not, we were far better off without it. We were viewed as cranks. On a prominent Celiac website I was vilified because I encouraged the consumption of natural food (the Specific Carb Diet to be precise) to promote healing rather than commercially made gluten-free baked (high carb) garbage (which the site sells - say no more). I was beaten into a corner, restricted to just my SCD thread and eventually gave up. Now, with the advent of experts like Dr. William Davis etc., who promote natural food over gluten-free garbage (I would have said 'crap' but I'm far too ladylike), and has found that people can recover their health, the tide is turning, thank goodness.

My current viewpoint is equally controversial.

Parasites, and the damage they can do.

There's another issue that's been swept under the carpet for far too long.... Shocked

Look forward to chatting with you all.... bounce

Welcome to the forum Ali. I have heard about your knack of "thinking outside of the box" which sometimes has an uncanny way of being accepted down the line ! Anything is up for discussion here :-)

Hi Jan. The scooter is on my PC but these days I use a tablet so collared a photo of one of my crochet blanket creations.

    How are you?

    Hi Ali

Really good to see you here.

Have to say I miss the scooter LOL but what a lovely colourful blanket creation - looks good.

I've never been into knitting or crocheting but I have friends that make such good creations.

I'm not too bad at sewing a button on, or stitching a hem ....if it's simple I'm ok.  My dear mum was great at knitting but I just couldn't get on with it.

We all have different strengths and weaknesses don't we?

Now I'm great working a washing machine and iron apparently ..............which was very useful when the kids were young.

    'Talk' again soon

    All the best Jan
