As the title suggests, BBC News today states diabetes accounts for 10% of the entire NHS budget. Are we surprised ? They seem intent on pushing drugs rather than change dietary advice and then this :

It's all a giant ponzi scheme. You go after the BDA and they say diet for diabetics is nothing to do with us FACT as reported on another thread, they blame DUK. You go after DUK and they blame NICE. Check out NICE and many of the people making decisions on drugs have financial ties to big pharma. The bottom line, big pharma and junk food, together with greedy politicians have a stranglehold on our health system. Diabetics are far and above the biggest cash cow, and the last thing these outfits want, is to lose money because people use diet and exercise nil/minimal medications to control their diabetes. Right down to some diabetes forums, the propaganda runs 24/7.
