Jeremy Clarkson to be sacked by the BBC !

Jeremy Clarkson is to be sacked as Top Gear presenter after a BBC investigation concluded he did attack a producer on the programme.

Lord Hall, the Director General of the BBC, is expected to announce his decision on Wednesday after considering the findings of an internal investigation.

An unnamed BBC insider said last night, we are looking for a replacement for Ckarkson. In order to maintain our stance on political correctness and minority promotion, we are looking to recruit a one legged Mongolian lesbian with a speech impediment and a glass eye.

Clarksons far from being an angel but Top gear(If it even survives) will not be nowhere near the same again,the banter between,Jezza,Captain slow and the hamster was a perfect blend IMO and worked!

I agree, Top Gear can't survive in it's present form without him. I do think he is not above the law though. We don't know all the details yet but I can't think of many reasons when punching an employee is acceptable in the workplace without punishment. I know if I done it, my feet wouldn't touch the ground and there would be no petition !

So, the BBC have fired Clarkson, they had no choice. Violence against an employee would be an instant dismissal for gross misconduct in any company I ever worked for. I reckon Clarkson has played the BBC like a violin. The program was becoming stale, it needed the politically incorrect stuff and wind ups, and the BBC is far too PC these days to allow it any more. Stand by for Clarkson to start a similar program elsewhere. One thing is for sure without Clarkson the program is a dead duck.

BBC Clarkson fired for minor fisticuffs, others committed outrageous crimes for years and were protected.

I reckon Jeremy had all this planned out !

"We have asked the BBC for the report which details the findings of their internal investigation into the matter.

So, the North Yorkshire plod are soon on the case regarding a minor punch up between two men, but ignored over 1400 child victims of rape, forced drug addiction and torture for decades.

Great to see the plod have their priorities in order. Mind you the BBC have already carried out the enquiry for them. Don't want the old bill overtaxing themselves eh.

I agree the police cover ups in the past have been deplorable. Likewise, the BBC turning a blind eye to Saville and others was disgusting. However, mistakes in the past does not mean we should allow albeit lesser crimes to go unpunished.
We may never know the full details but Clarkson attacked and assaulted a colleague and that is unacceptable. No other profession would allow it. Is he popular and witty and good at his job ? Yes. Does that mean he is above the law?

But, how fast the Police came wading in. The BBC are well past their sell by date, and need to be forced to go commercial. The Police these days are becoming uncountable and decide what cases they will bother to investigate. They seem to be only interested in the easy nick, and let far too much go unchallenged. Not only that far too many are proven liars. Just look at the Hillsborough disaster, years of cover up and lies.

Yep, but you also stated he was fired for "minor fisticuffs". As opposed to what ? What is a minor fisticuff ? Is it one punch as opposed to a major fisticuff ? I totally agree about the police. They're happy to wade in on a banker but I still feel the whole thing stinks. The victim is currently receiving death threats from those who only care about Top Gear.
I was pig sick when Only Fools And Horses finished. My all time fave show. I got over it though.

Not asking anything from you Eddie. I'm just stating my opinion. I feel there has been far too much "poor Jeremy" press. I think he deserved to be fired. I don't doubt he'll be back and I don't doubt his talent but if we are to compare him to the likes of Saville or Glitter, we give him a bit of a cop out. Of course he's no child molester or monster but he still should lose his job. Still, just my opinion. There are many that would forgive him anything to just keep producing Top Gear.

I am no apologist for Clarkson, but as usual the media gave the story a million times more coverage than it deserved.

Think on this, the BBC gave Clarkson a bollocking on many occasions for his wind ups and insults etc. Do you think that the BBC broadcast programs to the entire world and don't have a senior manager check the content first? They wanted the publicity and they got it, they also got a shed load of money, and when it went pear shaped Clarkson is the bad guy.

But, yes on this occasion he went too far, and deserved to be fired.

It appears to me that we agree yet don't agree on it lol ! Not everything is linked to conspiracy theories. Yes, the BBC made a lot of money and are not blameless but unfortunately Clarkson pushed the boundaries too far. Sleep well Cannon :-)
