Oh Dear ...... What Can I say?
I do have the utmost respect for all the NHS staff I have met on visits to hospitals whether personally or for family and friends. Most do care a lot, and all I have met have been brilliant .. yes, unfortunately you do get 'the rogue' who clearly does not have a persons good welfare at heart, you can read newspaper reports about some of them - but you do get this in any walk of life.
The NHS is far from perfect and with all the changes that still keep on occurring are things going from bad to worse or are there a few improvements here and there? Well depending on who you speak to the answer always differs.
It would be great if everything worked as it should and governments need to give the NHS top priority..
Listen to the patients, listen to the grass roots staff - and action as necessary. Money will always be a problem but is agency staff the answer? Has anything changed in recent years .....well I can remember being in hospital and having both agency and full time nurses look after me - thay all did a great job ... yes, there was a difference in pay and of course the Agency who employed some of the staff had to be paid - this was over 30 years ago I'm talking about and still we are in the same situation.
I just wish I knew the answer.
