Interesting key points for me were "A key finding of this randomized, controlled trial was that a low carbohydrate diet was more effective than a standard, moderate carbohydrate diet at reducing HbA1c at three months, our primary outcome point. "
and
"Another important finding was the consistency with which the low carbohydrate diet improved glycemic control. All individuals in the LCK group showed a decrease in HbA1c ...."
I am pleased my lifestyle choice is LCHF - and I'm not a diabetic, I choose to low carb 50 per day for six years. It makes perfect sense to me to not base my diet on sugar and starch.

That's just one of many small trials published over the last few years all reaching a similar conclusion, but sadly until a long term study is funded it will not change a thing.
