    The ADA eventually pulled this page, so some of the low carb antis claimed it had never existed.

    That was an excellent read! Took me back in time to when I was on newsgroups. Mary Gannon and Frank Q Nuttall were paid by the ADA and did a load of low carb research - what they called a LoBAG diet - low biologically active glucose. When they kept coming up with the wrong results their grant was terminated and the links to their papers on the ADA site were severed though the papers remained if you knew where to find them.
