hi, I wonder if anyone knows how to get rid of a virus? apart from spending a fortune on a virus program thingy? I seem to have picked one up the last couple of days, I get loads of pages popping up trying to sell me stuff etc and puter isn't happy at all, ive deleted everything I can from uninstall thing and deleted browsing history etc, even if it mean wiping the whole computer I don't mind if anyone knows a way to cure it, thanks

They're pesky buggers indeed aren't they mate!
Firstly,I'd download the free MalwareBytes anti malware software from Malwarebytes.org and install and run a threat scan to check for Trojans and Rootkits and then quarantine any threats and then I'd consider downloading one of the free 'Real time protection' anti virus programs out there such as Avast or AVG which are at least as good as some of the paid versions out there.
Good luck mate!

Re: computer virus
Restore the computer back to a time before the virus (Win's) or switch to ubuntu.
