Have you seen Amy Berger's recent post on her Tuit Nutrition Blog?

How to Cut Fat on a Ketogenic or Low Carb Diet (and Why You Might Want To)

Reduce fat intake? On a low carb or ketogenic diet?

Amy, have you done lost yo' mind?

You know people use the abbreviation “LCHF,” right? And that means low carb high fat, right?

Yes. Yes, I know. But remember what Ted Naiman, MD, said:

Oh yes, Amy and Ted are both brilliant. I'll go over there later.

Yes after my thyroid misadventures I have pretty much shed all the excess fluid I collected but have gained some actual fat, presumably because my energy levels went through the floor but for some reason my appetite didn't. I'll probably cut back on the dietary fat and up the protein for a while until my body has "eaten" the body fat. Plus I'm back to walking properly again which will help.
