Salt could have been the reason for my mothers demise as she was very liberal with salt using in it cooking and then adding it to her meals
seeing she was 97 when she passed away I wonder if her longevity could have increased if she had cut back on the salt

Interesting stuff which lends a further twist to things. Insulin levels are a factor controlling sodium excretion by the kidneys, I downloaded the papers to read later so will look to see if this was mentioned. Of course being nearer to the moon means they were more affected by the tide . . .
