    Morning Troops

Ted came back from Hospital last night so no jean saga! He's happy as larry as he's just opened up all his pressies so will be occupied for hours!

Just shy of 1200 cals yesterday or way short if you take off the mapmywalk cal calc for the 4 mile seafront brisk walk after lamb salad supper last night. BPC for brekkie and lunch so ratios pictured below.

This morning fasting bloods 6.8 and Blood ketones 0.4 so still work to be done to catch up with @merrylizard1314 and @nomistheman.

Nice figs there merry one - was that the wine for the carbs? Plus though tomorrow was a fat fast so 1000 cals? Got to say I do like the Water fast - maybe not 48 hours but 24 def. Quite interested in IF if you want to do something of that ilk?

    Birthday greetings from me, too.
And yes, the wine was full of carbs! I do not have another wine fest planned for at least a week.
However I have a morning tea/brunch/ lunch tomorrow, which will be a bit tricky, in a minefield kind of way, not wishing to give
You are right, @Baruney, tomorrow is the fat fast day. I was way ahead of myself! So, 1000cals 90/5/5 .
IF is often inadvertent for me, if I end my dinner at 4.30 pm and don't manage to have anything except water until lunch next day, so I'm up for that any time. Do you just want to incorporate it a couple of times?

When the kids were young we used to take a summer holiday and stay in the Hythe Imperial. I used to get up at six am with one of my sons and play the Hotel golf course. Back in time for a full Monty English breakfast, back in the good old days. Then off on the miniature railway to Dungeness and up the lighthouse. Times we did that and the kids loved it. I miss those days, now they are all grown up. Maybe we will take the grandchildren down there and start again.

Better be quick Eddie! Thankfully the chains aren't upon us yet though we do have the worst of the bunch Costa's has landed. Oh and if she have their way the golf course will be sold off as houses.

    Hola @merrylizard1314. Yep I'm game.

80 ,Cal's over today at 1280. No exercise to speak of. But no succumbing to cake and pizza or wine! Ratio's in PIC. Bpc for brekkie, pork ribs lunck and bpc for supper. Tried a bullet proof cocoa but didn't leave me so poured away. Way too much protein again

Wish I knew how to post pics to this space. Lovely image @Baruney, just before total mayhem with the packaging, I bet!!
    Today,BGL 4.0 ketones1.2,
    Fat 83%
    Carbs 6%
    Protein 11%
Came in under calories 843. I put this down to the BP coffee, it makes me unhungry.
Just found that 4 pieces of roast seaweed has no carbs, but 2g fat and 12 cals. Roasted in sesame oil, with a bit of salt.

    Morning troops

Fasting bloods 6.9 and blood ketones 0.4. Frustrated with bs numbers as was expecting lower than this today. Lack of sleep, tail end of a cold and work stress if I had to guess. Oh well fat fast day today.

@Merrylizard1314 yes it is awkward but there is a workaround. What are you using pc, tablet or phone and do you use u tube?

I'm sure either Graham or chris said they were going to do a tutorial but will try and do something over the weekend.

Perfect numbers as per usual putting the rest of us to shame!

    Hi Ed!

I know you made this little tutorial vid for Merrylizard but I reckon this is a useful 'how to' that could help others so would you mind if I posted this vid of yours up in a new topic? I can sticky it then for others future benefit.

    Cheers

    @Baruney

What an old duffer like me do a tutorial  Shocked  Fact is it's only down to your video that I now can upload pictures to this forum from my computer, previously I cheated by using the blog to upload pictures into a draft post then opening the image in a new tab and inserting the url into the insert image function here  Embarassed

Thanks for the tutorial  Very Happy

Thank you for that, @Baruney, seems like you've done it now!
I will persevere with this technique, but because I use an iPad, my access is going to be through the Classic version of the Forum, or perhaps I will have to use the keyboard- I keep forgetting that I have one!
It was lovely of you to take such pains. I am off to the seaside tomorrow, and will take long walks and runs, as I did not do the Parkrun this morning. Terrific storm last night , so perfect weeding and planting weather today, did that, instead!
On the low carb front , I had breakfast at 1pm. Almost let it slip by, gardening is so meditative.
BGL 4.9 ( possible liver dump) mushroom and chives omelette, with a green salad from the garden- we have lettuce, spinach, sorrel and rocket, with one or two early radishes. Only chives, parsley rosemary and thyme in the herb department so far.
And I made a bulletproof coffee. Feel quite inky and buzzy. How is Nom doing, do you know?
    2hours pp BGL3.7 ketones 2.0
Theatre tonight, so will have a little something at the interval.
Catch you after the weekend for the next fat fast. And thanks again for the vid!

Howdy folks and fellow FastOber compadres!

I feel guilty for not managing to make the time to post updates on this forum thread. Sorry! Sad

I will endeavour to provide an update when I'm next at a suitable PC. I've struggled with test posting pictures from my iPhone - they always post with the incorrect orientation!

It would be easier if the site the blog and forum was hosted on allowed pictures to be uploaded to it. Any chance that can be addressed?

Any way, I started on Monday with weight of 74KG and definitely not inky! Sad

Straight into a two day fat fast which went well. I was inky after the second day.

The following low carb day went well - still inky!

Next came water fast. This went fairly well started 10pm Wednesday but, by 2pm Thursday I was feeling god awful and succumbed to a carbs semi-re-feed! Sad

Moderate carb day was slightly over done too in both carbs and cals.

I have tried to tweet my progress but, even that has been limited. Sad

My apologies for not being able to make the time to post on here - I really do feel bad about that!

Surprisingly, I'm @nomistheman on twitter - if you search twitter for the hashtag #FastOber you will see what I have tweeted.

Will provide a more thorough update when able.

    Catch youse all later.

Sadly not...The downside of this free software is that the platform host providers do not allow any photo storage apart from personal avatars. Sad
