I'm not into musicals other than Oliver, everyone knows this song, marvel at four star musicians and a singer. A stellar version I reckon.

Hazel O'Connor Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol cover

Hazel O'Connor comes across as I don't give a f**k, I don't buy it. Such a beautiful, fragile, hurt, and amazing voice.

Ain't that the truth. Protect your kids from the crap. When they stumble upon lies tell them the truth. We are living in a plastic world. Far too many know the price of everything and the value of nothing. We live in a world where grown Men queue up all night to buy the latest piece of junk from Apple, obsolete by the time they get home. Tattooed Women out of their heads on binge drinking and hawking their butts on a Friday night. This is progress, but not to me.

Found one of the ones I was looking for, I'd somehow disconnected one of the verses with the chorus. The wondrous and quirky Cerys Matthews

Heard this the other night on TV show "From The Cradle To The Grave". Very funny show based on the early life of Danny Baker.

Oh yes some good nostalgia can be found there, lots of "oh I'd forgotten that one!" moments on the music track

I agree, although a few of her older classics didn't wow me the first time I heard them. Look forward to hearing the rest of the album though.

We watched the movie "Amy" today about Amy Winehouse. Such a sad movie, really worth watching. All those people around her ignored so many signs, including her parents. She cried out so many times but nobody would stop the cash cow. The lyrics to so many of her tunes mean so much more now.

As a fan,I'd like to see the movie-I recently watched a documentary about her autopsy and the years leading up to her death and it was really heartbreaking to watch her inner demons make her destroy herself, maybe things would have been different if she'd never met Blake Fielder-Civil,who knows? She had problems going back to her childhood...Total waste of life and talent.

Many years ago I was involved in the very murky world of finance. Wait,  affraid  it gets worse, I supplied the finance for a bunch of gangsters in the time share industry. Every now and again I spent a day with them during a sales campaign. They introduced me to The Gypsy Kings which they played during the warm ups and presentations. This was a favourite, we are playing it as I type.

Maybe a bit too close to home, this song title on a diabetes blog, but these two blow what's left of my brains out. Trust me, live music does not get better than this.
