    Post by mo1905 on Fri Aug 15 2014, 22:28

I sent this to a good friend of mine yesterday as the lyrics meant something ! Plus, it's a decent tune. Crank it up and enjoy :-)

Great choice mo! Smile I do love Coldplay and I'm posting my choice of Coldplay track below-my wife thinks this song is Macabre and moody...I disagree. Smile

Great music guys!  I've had problems trying to choose just one song because there's about 100 I'd like to choose, but I've narrowed it down to 2 of my favourites.

Paul1976.  You're right that Coldplay track is neither macabre nor moody, it's beautiful and meaningful

I found this yesterday whilst looking for some other songs.  The last time I heard it was in 1977! A friend used to play it and I never knew who did it so I just couldn't find the song because I didn't know where to look. Search engines have got so much better in the last few years!

Throwing a rock into the pond now, but to me these are great songs.  They all benefit from being played LOUD!

One of the best singles ever from Massive Attack, even if you don't like trip hop

Cover of a Tim Buckley song by the Cocteau Twins - play in the car late at night (but don't drift off!)

Deceptively simple from Radiohead but the build up of multi layering is an amazing production (stop at 3:40 if you like)

Goldfrapp do John Barry - they really should have been asked to do a James Bond film theme

(Sanguine is getting his coat now ...)
