I do remember a post by admin telling members to always cite source of information to avoid copyright infringements the mods have clearly gone against that ruling

Latest wheeze by DCUK according to their news letter is to offer an online prescription service   As if I'd trust them with my personal medication info, I much prefer to support my local pharmacy

But the whole point of the forum of flog is to make money, helping diabetics is purely coincidental. So, the new angle is prescriptions. How long before they are flogging wheelchairs and white sticks? Anyone remember the very high carb hampers they flogged for a number of years.

What is DC UK? Is that the other diabetic forum? I just visited, but if that's their attitude, then I don't think I will bother again...

Strangely I was just slumming it there after a very long absence, they have a very long thread and now a whole subforum on reactive hypoglycemia. I'm only halfway through but already I spot a considerable amount of sense and a welcome lack of the Usual Suspects.

I also looked at the "official" DUK forum, just briefly. Some folks were questioning a DUK representative about their attitude to low carb and the effect of their sponsors on their decisions.

They do appear to be clued up on the RH forum and input from what's left of the "Usual Suspects" would not go down well

Why should I need Diabetes UK to get my meds delivered? My dispensary offers a free service anyway, and also keeps my 'script', and does all the paperwork via email!. I get a ring on the bell once a month, the young chap announces himself, and brings the drugs right in to me in my armchair! How about that for free service!

DCUK is in the bullshit business full stop. From the front page today. "Join 476,704 members today and get a free member pack" and "Get support from 208,881 people on the Diabetes Forum" So which figure is correct? does it depend on wind direction? or do they press number keys on a calculator while wearing a blindfold? We need to be told.

The forum of flog owners know information is a very valuable commodity. The DCUK site and associated sites are all about extracting information about the members. This is sold on to the highest bidders. What the value of this information is to buyers must be open to speculation.
