Dedicated to the British Dietetic Assassination outfit. Weird Al Yankovic Addicted To Spuds

Yes it's Saturday night again and music night on our blog. This one for my carb pushing, spud loving friends at the British Dietetic Association. Just ask BDA dietitian and spokesperson Sian Porter, who flogs err...spuds for the Potato Council as can be evidenced here.

Type two diabetic-low carb diet (50 carbs per day) and two 500mg Metformin pills per day. Apart from diagnosis HbA1c almost 12-all HbA1c results none diabetic. For over eight years my diabetes medication has not changed. My weight has remained stable, I have suffered no ill effects from my diet whatsoever. Every blood test has proved, I took the right road to my diabetic salvation. For almost seven years, I have asked medical professionals and naysayers, how do I maintain non diabetic BG levels on two Metformin other than low carb ? The silence has been deafening !

Seeing dietitians are supposedly highly educated in nutrition you would think they should have some knowledge of carbohydrates, given the following  quote from the BDA re the BBC's Doctor in the House that is not apparent  Rolling Eyes

In the episode, all sources of carbohydrates for the person with diabetes were removed

That is so interesting. Just shows how many glitches there can be in the dissemination of accurate information. Too many pages for the BDA all to be on the same one, possibly.
Will they get there in time to save this generation?
