It's just selling strategy though isn't it? You can do it by patrolling the aisles asking customers if they've found everything they want for example. No harm unless it involves anything of doubtful legality. I'm sure they all do it, it's just a bit embarrassing for it to be shown overtly.

I think a lot of stores do this .....for example our local newsagent is always trying to get us to buy a bar of chocolate, trouble is it's never the dark 85% chocolate but the very sweet high carb milk sort.

The sales assistants have to try though.

Hey I've got an idea .....why can't they offer a wine sample for instance - a sip or two whilst doing the weekly shop would be great.

At this point should I say don't drink and drive .................. Exclamation

    All the best Jan

Jan is a sucker for the buy one get one free con. I often say to her if they were flogging camels that way, she would come home with two. My life is not as easy as it appears.  lol!

i wont go shopping with my wife ever, ill go for her but never together, i plan the shop, its a military operation and the trolley has to be loaded then unloaded in a certain way, if the scouts are helping you pack for a donation i pay them not to help, the thought of something not cold in with the cold make me shudder

the wife on the other hand.... why do it in order when you can walk the length of the shop 87 times back and forth and whats the harm in putting the heavy stuff on top of everything, and 2 ps of milk is meant to be in the bag with the bread right? i dont even eat the bread but it shouldnt be bread pudding in its bag

ohmmm..... ohmmmmm....in through the mouth out through the nose....

I buy almost all my clothes second hand on Ebay. I spend serious money on one pair of high quality  shoes a year. I try to look after my feet as best I can. I have brought as new Berghaus all weather coats with detachable fleeces which cost £200 new for £50. I am sitting on a £1200 Marks and Spencer sofa which I obtained in as new condition on Ebay for £200.
