    Horizon on Clean Eating

Post by chris c on Tue Jan 24 2017, 23:20

Recorded this and just got around to watching it. Well that's an hour of my life I'll never get back.

    TL:DR

eating real fresh food is really bad because this crank US doctor claims that alkalinizing diets cure cancer. The End.

Actually there was a bit more to it than that, he knocked the Hemsleys etc. and also William Davis, totally failing to point out that Davis came to his opinions on wheat because he is a CARDIOLOGIST and saw the results of many changes via calcium scans, and had changed his therapeutic ideas several times as a result of, well, results.

Most peculiarly he also had a go at T Colon Campbell. Surprising because veg(etari)anism is usually praised by dieticians.

It ended up with the usual platitudes, of course "we know" what a healthy diet is so we shouldn't follow extremes.

Frankly I'll be continuing to eat Real Food and avoiding most grains, industrially produced seed oils and CIAB like Belvita, Cereal Partners etc.

    12 years and still working . . .

Nice to see Zoe Harcombe agrees with me <G>

The amount of self-congratulatory tweeting this programme has produced is horrifying. More proof if any more was needed that dieticians are terminally clueless about the difference between science and dogma. Well of course their salaries DO depend on not understanding, as does the entire financial backing of dietetic organisations throughout the Known World.

Nice find Chris, seeing she's a BDA dietitian and belvita is one of their corporate members are they going to ban her  Question

They'll probably set The Angry Chef on her.

Judas F Priest I hadn't come across this moron before. Kinda ironic that dieticians are trying to monopolise the business of dietary advice, yet they use a chef as their attack dog.
