I made it! Empty I made it!

Now I can say it - it is possible to enjoy Christmas and New Year without sugar or white flour. I did ate too much of cheese and ham but surely I didn't ate carbs. I made a perfect turkey for New Year's Eve and I ate a cauliflower mashed "potato" instead of the real one. I also bought a champagne with almost none sugar in it. I ate some pork sausages (home made by my family) with sauerkraut and then I became addicted to the Lime and Vanilla cheese cake that I found here LOL

I am trying to convince myself that I can be proud of myself but I know that I gained some weigh and I feel angry about that still. Besides, I tried to hide my diet from my family cause I didn't want comments or expectations towards me. I made up that I eat this way because I had some stomach issues but I think they all understood what I am really doing. This makes me nervous somehow. Can anyone understand me?

Besides I had a very tough month with gout almost all the time. I have uric acids very high cause I ate almost same things although I wasn't exaggerating with proteins. This made me feel tired. Now I am going to add exercise to my diet.

Anyway, I wanted to share all this with you cause you can understand me! I know I am not a lot over here but I love you all guys Embarassed

Hello and can I also say well done ... because you are doing well Smile

    You say

You may find this article a good and interesting read

Yes ... it is always easier if your family / friends support you with a lifestyle choice, but I think you know you are happy with your choice, and you appear to be doing well, so I would say continue into 2016 ... but of course the decision must always be yours ... it is all about getting the balance right for you.

I do sympathize with you regarding the gout, my father had this some years back now and it is so painful ... hopefully your acid levels will lower and things get back to normal, but obviously keep a watch on things and see your Doctor if you need to.

    All the best Jan
