As you and all informed and well controlled diabetics know, the more carbs we consume, the more medication we require to keep BG levels to a safe level. We also know, medication is not a get out of jail free card. The fact is, DUK are sponsored by big pharma companies. So, the more the carbs, the more the meds, and DUK sponsors rake in the money. You could take a view, this could be acceptable if all this worked, but it does not, full stop. The majority of diabetics following the DUK dietary recommendations never get to a safe HbA1c number. This has been proved by the lamentable published and audited NHS statistics. Over 90% of type ones and over 50% of type two's are running consistently dangerous BG numbers.

But hey, this is the way of the world, corruption is the name of the game. No finer example can be found than the current race to become the next President of the USA. Two totally corrupt and crooked candidates, one will win, and this is the best a nation of over 350 million can offer up as candidates. Need I say more.

The stupidity of the DUK diet programme goes to show just how clueless (or in bed with big pharma) they are, take Thursday's dinner for example: Speedy salmon pasta at 67.5 carbs, guaranteed to put BG into orbit

I've witnessed phoenix and Sid defending the DUK dietary guidelines in the past methinks they are attempting to defend the indefensible
