A weather app??? Does that mean you don't have to bother to look out of the window to see if the sun is shining?

No, it means I can actually choose the weather. There are various "in app purchases" for sunshine, snow, etc. Today I paid 99p for a full day of sunshine. Money well spent :-)

Can you believe it will be May 1st tomorrow !  Which of course means we are coming up for our first of the May Bank Holiday Weekends.

We have a very special one because my dear dad reaches the grand old age of 90  sunny

A special family gathering has been planned - it would be good if we had sunny weather but alas we cannot plan for that.

Has anyone else got anything special planned?

Great day at Newmarket Races today ! Heavy rain in the morning but sunny by the time we got there. It was absolutely packed ( Guineas weekend ). I had a pickup with Frankie Dettori and my missus had 2 pickups, last one was at 11/1 which paid for the whole day ! Lovely :-) Anyone else done much this weekend ?

Did you know it's ' London Tree Week' and it will run from  23 – 31 May 2015. It’s a week when we celebrate and explore London’s trees and woodlands with a series of special events.

As it's the Bank Holiday if you should be around the London Area why not check out some of the events?

    You can't beat a nice walk .....

Well we had rain earlier today - don't know if you did.

Two family Happy Birthday Celebrations ... one excited four year old, with I'm sure equally excited family and friends ... and one celebrating a 27th Birthday.

A good way to spend a Bank Holiday Weekend and still Monday to come. Smile

    Think these went down well

    Celery and cream cheese

and a glass of this !

Hope you are having a good Bank Holiday

Going around shops you see all the back to school things for sale ... of course after that it will be the first of the Christmas Cards and 'paraphernalia'.

But talking to one of our son's last night he is looking forward to the bank holiday weekend, he tells me, it's only a couple of weeks away!! He has also booked the four days after the Bank Holiday Monday as 'holiday' so it will make a nice break.

Looking back, I can remember doing the same ... it was / is the last long Bank Holiday before Christmas.

Have you made plans for the Bank Holiday?

If the weather is good I think fishing may be on the plans or a bit of goongoozling ... Smile

I tend to hide/stay local during Bank Holidays, we get inundated with those unpleasant types from Sahf of the Rivver otherwise <G> I almost saw a traffic jam once.

Storms to make bank holiday a washout

More than 13m drivers expected to hit the road for trips

"Millions of Britons planning a bank holiday getaway should expect a "messy" weekend of weather, forecasters have warned, as rain and thunderstorms hit parts of the UK.
More than 13 million drivers are expected to hit the road for trips over the long weekend, with congestion set to be worst on Friday evening, according to the AA.
Forecasters have warned most of the country should prepare for showers, with thunderstorms predicted in the South East on Saturday night.
A large band of rain is forecast across  large parts of England on Sunday, before the weather improves on Monday."

...and it's the Notting Hill Carnival too I think plus a lot more events local to you  Question

Could be a bit of a wash out. Has anyone got any special plans. Think ours may be to avoid the roads ......
