Just logged in and checked all the staff profiles and only Catherine appears to have been online so I guess she don't like coconut macaroons but likes her new ban hammer!

Ahhhh, got it....It was the one about 'thou shalt not derail a thread by talking about healthy food' Silly you, that's obvious. WTF would they want you talking about food that's healthy for diabetics on a diabetes forum? 'Thou shalt stick to the rules and eat Pot Noodle'

Re: Who wants to live to be 120 ?????
Andy - this morning I woke up and saw your recent ban in a new light. You must have broken a rule by 'attempting to derail the thread.' Your posts on that thread have motivated me to try harder with my BG's and weight loss again. As you know I have struggled with depression for years. Now I'm back on track with my lifestyle changes, properly, as of today.
That's just me, how many more saw your comments and felt the same as me, maybe newbies too? (And the OP is herself perhaps a newbie to type 2, having been pre diabetic).
Now all that's great. Then I ask myself how can a forum, that is supposedly there to provide support to diabetics, ban someone for promoting the idea that healthy foods are treats? Sure you may have 'tried to derail the thread' (although I dispute this) but then some there are derailing lives by promoting eating junk and taking the pills and insulin to cover. But hey they're still there. Is this really supporting others?
So my conclusion is that the other place is there to encourage diabetics to take the tablets and enjoy the carbs and if a few/a lot of limbs and lives get lost in the process, so what?
Andy you deserve a medal not a ban. Anyone with a true heart for others would not have banned you. So what motive could they possibly have?........
So far I haven't had a ban from there. I wonder what will happen after I have posted this here? No, I'm just being paranoid aren't I? Aren't I?

You are not paranoid Zand and nor were the tens of thousands who have walked from the forum over the years. Countless low carbers have been banned on the whim of a handful of corrupt mods aided and abetted by a small group of long term low carb antis. As we have proved in the past the forum has an agenda that is commercial as reported on our blog and on this forum. Low carbers will derail the managements plans to link to big pharma which the management have stated is their aim, the proof of this has been posted on this forum and our blog. More later but in the meantime check out the link.

Re: Who wants to live to be 120 ?????
The thread though is framed as a question; "have you ever..."
It must make sense to be able to say "no, and here's why" or "once or twice but never again; here are some recipes to help avoid those problems?"
It's pretty moronic really; my ActionMan posts better not be removed because they are bang on topic; nowhere does it specifically say the question is about food...

Anyone can post off topic posts as long as they are not a low carber and suck up to the mods, just ask Noblehead, it was ever thus. It's a stacked deck over there and has been for years.

That reminds me of the dear old Clash and the song 'Know Your Rights'; 'You have the right to free speech, unless you're dumb enough to actually try it...'

Re: Who wants to live to be 120 ?????
I got accused of derailing on the petrol thread by talking about diabetes
I also had a post removed on the same thread for being community spirited.
- "Have some consideration for the OP"
- "Ok, I'll stick her back on ignore"
I cant do right for doing wrong!
