She Couldn't See What Was In Front Of Her Face

Changes in macronutrient balance during over- and
underfeeding assessed by 12-d continuous whole-body
    calorimetry

Susan A Jebb, Andrew M Prentice, Gail R Goldberg, Peter R Murgatroyd, Alison E Black,
    and WAndrew Coward

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8780332

"In common with these studies, ours shows
that fuel selection is dominated by carbohydrate intake, and
that when carbohydrate oxidation rises in response to overfeeding
there is a profound counterregulatory suppression of fat
oxidation even in the presence of large quantities of exogenous
    fat."

Well isn't this EXACTLY what we have been saying all along???

Oh not just us mere patients but pretty much everyone from William Banting to Jeff Volek who actually know about science. They are so stuck on "calories" that they fail to understand how the body processes them differently. They think that if you want to lose weight you have to eat less fat because calories. No, you have to eat less carbs to bring down your insulin and all the other things it influences so you can actually METABOLISE fat properly, including body fat.
