For over eight years my diabetes medication has not changed. My weight has remained stable, I have suffered no ill effects from my diet whatsoever. Every blood test has proved, I took the right road to my diabetic salvation. For almost seven years, I have asked medical professionals and naysayers, how do I maintain non diabetic BG levels on two Metformin other than low carb ? The silence has been deafening !

But Duane reckons "low carbohydrate diets have been part of guidelines since 2011."

So why then don't we see LC offered as an option at DUK their recipe section covers low fat, vegan, vegetarian, low sugar, dairy free etc.

Duane's associates at the BDA  hardly inspire confidence for any diabetic wishing to try LC

Someone has opened the doors of the asylum again. Horrendous amounts of garbage being spouted in the latest pro-carb fest. This guy even makes Snowden look sane

Hugely amused to see Eddie's retweet of a photo of dieticians which they published themselves bringing out so many rants about "fat shaming". Quite apart from the fact that said dieticians are fat they don't look very healthy. Carb face/wheat face, poor skin and puffy cheeks.

Yes it's had some mileage that photo hardly does any favour to the image of the BDA

Link I posted on another thread relating to the "fat shaming"

Your certainly are a class 1 stirrer, Eddie.
You can't have seen the thread on the other side, the obese will have you burnt at the stake.
Already they are collecting the fagots.

He really shouldn't antagonise obese diabetics they feel equally opposed to the present erroneous dietary guidelines. Then I suppose Eddie is not known for tact and diplomacy!
I try to be tactful in most circumstances but my feet are too big and unruly to succeed! : D)

There's a big difference between being obese because you don't know any better than to follow The Guidelines and . . . oh, wait . . .
