Low-Carb, High-Fat Is What We Physicians Eat. You Should, Too

As physicians, we are concerned when we see misinformation circulating in the media, especially when it comes from health-care professionals. Therefore, we would like to rectify some points raised recently by a few nutritionists and dietitians in a letter of opinion published in a daily newspaper in Quebec.

It's a long blog post with a list of signatories of LC Physicians at the end

It looked like Canada was going to produce a sensible revision to their Food Pyramid, but it seems to have been knobbled by the vegans Sad

At least they made an effort to try to get some change there was always going to be opposition from vested interests and money talks

Canada does appear to have a lot Physicians who have taken on board Low Carb going by the list of signatories at the end of the post, Jay Wortman also added a comment in reply

"Our grandchildren are being brought up on a reduced carbohydrate lifestyle. Dr Andreas Eenfeldt's two girls eat real whole foods, and a reduced carbohydrate lifestyle. I can remember his daughter's birthday cake being made of melon and double cream. Dr Jay Wortmans daughter is a low carb child."

Ah but she's just a crank on the internet, what does she know? The science is settled, children should start a low fat diet by age 2, oh and we now have chewable statins they can start at age 8.

ps/ most seed-eating birds feed their young on insects because they need the fats and protein. The few that don't have slow growing young that spend ages in the nest.
