Well at least she would use a low carb diet. Ye Gods, think of the cockups some of the others might make. This one for example

More and more! As Gary Fettke (I think) said, once you see the results of low carb you can never again unsee them.
Meanwhile, if most dieticians were given prescribing rights I suspect stories like this would become commonplace

Quite frightening, IMO anyone choosing NOT to prescribe insulin to a Type 1 should be charged with attempted murder.
I read once of a nurse telling a Type 1 patient to titrate their insulin according to CALORIES not carbs. Once again frightening lack of knowledge, I haven't been keeping up to see if this is a one off nut job or a "modern" concept. Presumably a way to impose a HCLF diet by the back door, such a patient would have hypos if they did NOT eat enough of their calories as carbs.
So still a way to go . . .
