Sid won The Wallycorker prize for his recipe and was catapulted into low carb superstar territory.

In an unprecedented move, the trustees of the Wallycorker foundation have awarded the highly prestigious Wallycorker medal to Sid Bonkers at diabetes.co.uk. Rarely is the award given to a member who has not been banned. And never has the award been given to a  lowcarb anti and sat fat will kill ya guru.

Chairman of the board of trustees. Roger (keto warrior) Jenkins, who abstained from the vote by the trustees, stated today “no man is beyond redemption and Sid’s stunning Moussaka post together with an excellent photograph was arguably the best lowcarb recipe post in the history of diabetes.co.uk”

Evidently the reason Sid was put up for the award, was the fact his not lowcarb, portion control dietary regime, is now being advised by a new diabetes forum. This decision was bitterly opposed by long time lowcarb legend Monty Beantipper, who had to be physically restrained, by four security guards using a can of mace and a base ball bat. Strange times indeed.

    The recipe is here http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/this-evenings-meal-moussaka.35432/#p334066

Eddie wrote:Diabetes is now a run away train. It’s out of control, around the world hundreds of millions of people have joined the club, no one wants to join. The epidemics of type two diabetes and it’s often linked obesity are going to get far worse the experts tell us. Big pharma knows this, big pharma can hear the big cash register ringing. My opinion on big pharma and many of it’s drugs is well known. Many have proved to be useless and others banned for killing people. There was a time when no drugs were available for the control of diabetes, and many type two diabetics lived long and active lives. Many feel Dr. Atkins was the start of the lowcarb diet, but lowcarbing for improved health goes back to the days of William Banting.

The link below will take you to a free of charge read on line digitalized book, on the best diet for diabetics before big pharma loaded the dice, and diet and exercise kept people healthy and in control of their diabetes. I urge you to take a look. I have left the book open at pages 12 and 13, foods of great value and foods to avoid. Many will not be surprised to see, nothing has changed in almost a hundred years, in the best way to control diabetes. Diet and exercise and nil/minimal medication.

Check this link out, a fantastic read and well worth your time.

There's a navigation bar at the bottom of the page. If you don't see it hit the up arrow and it will reappear. The arrows on the right hand end page forward and back.

William Banting's  Letter On Corpulence is also available from various sites, Michael Eades scanned an original copy he bought.
