    tl;dr - adding more carbs to a high carb diet was significantly worse than adding either saturated or mono fat on a whole bunch of factors in fat IR "nondiabetics"

    Stephen Phinney, Jeff Volek and Sarah Hallberg

    Not exactly stunning results, but consistent. The weight loss and reduction in meds was interesting compared to "usual treatment" where they both generally increase in parallel.
