When we started this forum and being an optimist, I hoped for great things. But alas, it was not to be. For me the place is like a great pub, you can drop in anytime and chat to some good and interesting friends. Granted many of the regulars have buggered off to a private members only boozer, but every cloud has a silver lining. The more regulars a boozer has, the more the grief!

We have all seen it, so many get three pints of lager down their necks, and they are looking for a punch up. Or one word out of place, and some bruiser orders you outside. None of that malarkey here. In fact, this is such a place of calm and tranquillity, even our bouncers have retired. We are so quiet even the kitchen flogger spammers give us a wide berth. Mercifully the great unwashed keep well away, let’s face it, who needs punters turning up asking ludicrous questions. Old hands know the score. A newbie turns up and asks a question, you know the sort, Googling for an answer is beyond them. The experienced person spends an age typing a reply, and the newbie lacks the courtesy to even say thank you, ignorant buggers.

So, think positive I say, be grateful for small mercies and small country pubs. Jeez, if we had become popular, a big corporate outfit like Wetherspoon’s could have taken us over, just look what happened at Arjun Panesar’s den of iniquity. Granted a lot of money can be made running a rave joint, but Jeez who needs the stress. To conclude, thank you to our regular customers, and during the Yuletide season, the drinks are on me.

    Cheers!

Yeah tis strange what has occurred, some once hugely popular blogs now have an echo. Lots now on Twitter, and probably Facebook. Several forums have disappeared, no great loss for most of them.
