BDA taking fat phobia to a new level

BDA wrote:Reduce your portion sizes to help you reduce and maintain a healthy weight. A portion is: • a fist size of carbohydrate • a palm size of meat/fish or poultry • two handfuls of vegetables or salad • a cupped-handful of fruit • top of your thumb size of oil or fat spread.

A fist size of carbs a thumb size of oil and this is evidence based  Rolling Eyes bullshit

Naa! this is specifically for Type 2's written by Julie Taplin, Marjory Anderson and Duane Mellor, Dietitians on behalf of the BDA Diabetes Specialist Group. Shocked  Guaranteed to hasten progression of diabetes towards a multi meds regime or insulin but hey the Bad Dietary Association need to keep their corporate partners happy don't they  Question

Here is the official How To Get Diabetes over Christmas page https://www.bda.uk.com/foodfacts/christmas.pdf

And remember folks, diabetics should eat "the same healthy diet" as everyone else. Utter bullshit! If their diet is so fucking healthy where did all the diabetics come from in the first place?

"The ideal HbA1c is between 48–58mmol/mol"

no it isn't you clueless muppet, the ideal HbA1c is in the thirties otherwise nondiabetics would all be dropping like flies and have less than the average number of feet.

As soon as I can pry my mouth open far enough to fit it in I'm going to eat a fist-sized portion of fat, a hand-sized portion of meat, a load of veggies and a fingernail-sized portion of starch, just out of sheer spite.

I was OK with a thumb sized amount of butter but the bloody oil kept running off my thumb  wtf

Type two diabetic-low carb diet (50 carbs per day) and two 500mg Metformin pills per day. Apart from diagnosis HbA1c almost 12-all HbA1c results none diabetic. For over eight years my diabetes medication has not changed. My weight has remained stable, I have suffered no ill effects from my diet whatsoever. Every blood test has proved, I took the right road to my diabetic salvation. For almost seven years, I have asked medical professionals and naysayers, how do I maintain non diabetic BG levels on two Metformin other than low carb ? The silence has been deafening !

I may be just a tad overwrought from the gum abscess, the phone saga, the short days and chasing some clueless muppett around on Marika's blog all at once. Ya think?
