Type two diabetic-low carb diet (50 carbs per day) and two 500mg Metformin pills per day. Apart from diagnosis HbA1c almost 12-all HbA1c results none diabetic. For over eight years my diabetes medication has not changed. My weight has remained stable, I have suffered no ill effects from my diet whatsoever. Every blood test has proved, I took the right road to my diabetic salvation. For almost seven years, I have asked medical professionals and naysayers, how do I maintain non diabetic BG levels on two Metformin other than low carb ? The silence has been deafening !

Not surprising really given all the hostile comments which have also been removed, can't remember all the details of the recipe but it was a rice based dessert which included added sugar and sweetened condensed milk

85% chocolate, or a bowl of berries with clotted cream, ground flax seed (and brandy!) That'll do me.

Strange that, most of the things I eat need no portion control at all. I eat till I am stuffed, then go ages before getting hungry again.

Same here don't do portion control nor count calories that's the beauty of LC

Yeah there's a major qualitative as well as quantitative difference between hunger and carb cravings caused by BG bottoming out.

Though you wouldn't believe it if you read Stephan Guyenet. Since he became a Professional he has lost his marbles. He is welcome to claim I am lying but when he calls my GLUCOMETER a liar . . .
