The changing face of Britain's fry ups as youngsters abandon a key ingredient

More than a quarter of people aged between 18-24 say they no longer include this traditional staple in the traditional fry-up

The famous full English breakfast is being threatened by the increasingly health conscious young, a new survey has found.

More than a quarter of people aged between 18-24 say they no longer include bacon in the traditional fry-up.

The move away from bacon comes after the World Health Organisation linked the consumption of processed meat such as sausages and bacon to cancer.

Sales of bacon have fallen by four per cent since the report late last year.

A poll of the breakfast eating habits of 2,000 people suggests that Brits are looking for healthier options when it comes to the most important meal of the day.

Why would they want bacon when they can choose Oat-So-Bloody-Simple or a lovely bowl of Frosties lol !
Well, it falls on the likes of us to increase our bacon intake by at least 4% to make up for the shortfall.

But is it the parents fault? We were all conned for years with the low fat high carb so called healthy diet. If we had not become diabetics and done some research, I expect we would still be shovelling the junk down our necks.

BTDT with all the heart healthy muesli and low fat spreads. Now I have some catching up to do, three slices of bacon with the lamb's liver, giant mushroom fried in EVOO and a mass of broccoli.

Since most cancers are exclusively fuelled by glucose I have my suspicions that what is blamed on the bacon is actually down to the bun and the fries and the giant coke. But that's just me.
